Antonio Zanussi founded the Zanussi Company in Pordenone in Italy in 1916. It was initially a small shop and then grew into a huge industrial enterprise that produced a broad range of household appliances. In 1950, it was among the top manufacturers in Italy. The company continued to grow during the 1960s, with the purchase of the Becchi, Castor, Zoppas and Triplex brands, as well as the establishment of a research and design center.
